Chiari network and thrombosis in right atrium in an elderly patient with heart failure: a case report

Abstract: An elderly patient with heart failure accompanied by a high D-dimer level and low fibrinogen and platelet level when he was admitted to the hospital. The ECG showed atrial fibrillation. An ultrasonic cardiogram revealed a lump in the right atrium. Based on the patient's past medical history and laboratory studies, the preliminary diagnosis was thrombus in the right atrium. The patient was treated with low molecular weight heparin for 10 days. An ultrasonic cardiogram showed that the lump disappeared, and the Chiari network emerged.
